Mustang’s HD Universal Series Transmission Dynamometer is designed to simulate engine input speeds and vehicle loads for a wide range of light duty transmissions. The system has the ability to control both transmission input speed and output load, allowing the operator to precisely simulate conditions as though the transmission is in the vehicle. When equipped with the appropriate adapter kits, Mustang’s Universal Series dynamometer is capable of mounting and testing a wide variety of transmission sizes and configurations. A user friendly, graphical Windows™ based data acquisition software system allows the user to monitor, display and store critical transmission performance information. The performance information of the test transmission can be compared to that of the transmission supplier’s performance information or the user’s transmission information. The operator console allows the user to control the transmission dyne speed and loads while monitoring and controlling critical system information.
