Mustang Installs End-of-Line Test Stand at EV Truck Manufacturer, Harbinger Motors

Twinsburg, Ohio, October 11, 2024:
Mustang Advanced Engineering, an American manufacturer of quality, industry-leading testing systems, equipment, dynamometers, and related products, has developed an End-of-Line test stand for Harbinger, a Los Angeles-based commercial electric vehicle manufacturer, specializing in medium-duty trucks.

The production of their EV truck chassis needed an End-of-Line test stand for the data retrieval of the regenerative brake testing, battery life testing, and over-all functionality before being released to the next stage of production.

The test stand makes use of AC motor power absorbers and inertia weight flywheels for load control of the test. Additionally, automatic pop-up vehicle restraints on the stand increase vehicle throughput. Through the controls and software, the test stand can be used to perform brake testing as well.
