Twinsburg, Ohio, August 25, 2021: Mustang Advanced Engineering (MAE) recently completed the delivery of an MDT-90KN tow dynamometer designed for testing agricultural equipment for the Government of Myanmar: Agricultural Mechanization Department (AMD). The MDT-90KN tow dynamometer is for government testing and certification of tractors and agricultural equipment being used in Myanmar.
The MAE MDT-90KN tow dynamometer uses advanced controls along with air-cooled eddy current power absorbers to provide the capability of testing agricultural equipment, simulating off-road profiles taken from pre-recorded data of grades, hills and mountains. MAE’s advanced control system allows for grade control, speed control, drawbar control, manual control, polynomial drawbar control as a function of velocity, mountain climbing test as a function of distance, cycle testing as a function of distance or time and engine speed control.
The tow dynamometer was delivered with an integrated fuel flow measurement system to measure the fuel burn rate of the test vehicle’s diesel engines. The fuel measurement systems include a heat exchanger and fuel pump to cool the warm fuel from the return fuel line. The tow dynamometer was also equipped with a RPM measurement system, a fifth wheel speed sensor, and a wheel slip measurement system in order to perform the certification testing.
