Mustang Advanced Engineering today announced that the company has delivered and installed another of its state-of-the-art AWD AC motor chassis dynamometers to The Toro Company.
The AWD dynamometer features a regenerative 40-hp AC motor (absorbing/motoring) and a variable wheelbase that allows the system to be adjusted to test AWD vehicles with wheelbases ranging from 42” to 96”. A splined shaft and two right angle gear reducers provide mechanical linkage of the front and rear roller sets.
Mustang’s sophisticated PowerDyne Dynamometer Controller and Software was supplied with the turnkey system to provide a state-of-the-art dyne contoller, a number of pre-configured test sequences and driver’s traces, and a comprehensive data acquisition package.
