September 17, 2015 – Twinsburg, Ohio, USA – Mustang Advanced Engineering (MAE) today announced that the company was awarded a contract to manufacture and install two (2) inline transmission dynamometers (HD-AC/EC-200/250’s) by Camp Carroll, Korea.
Each inline transmission dynamometer consists of a 200 HP AC input motor, eddy current output power absorber, stall brake, powered indexing head, powered output vertical adjustment, transmission fluid conditioning circuit, controls, software, etc. to provide a turnkey system for testing of heavy duty, military vehicle transmissions according to the respective government test procedures (DMWR/NMWR).
The HD-AC/EC-200/250 dynamometers are versatile, multipurpose transmission dynamometers specifically designed to test a multitude of manual, automatic and power-shift transmissions. The test stands are capable of testing inline military, on-highway, and off-highway transmissions, both hydraulic and electronic. The specific transmissions supported under this contract award include the 3L80, 4L80E, 4500SP, CLT754, MD3070PT, HT740D, 4500, HD4560P, MT654CR, and 3500SP.
